There was a time during WWII that the US Government required Farmers to grow this plant for their own purposes, primarily war, but took away an individual's right to grow this plant for personal use. This is a plant that people used not only for medicine, but to spin cloth, make rope, use for fuel in a variety of ways including bio-mass and ethanol, as well as food and bedding. When the gov't wants something that the People don't should they be required to go against there beliefs, without question? Should the People be denied access to their own history? Should People be imprisoned by an ignorance that is imposed upon them?

most people who grow their own pot don't use it to make rope or cloth.

I still think the plant should be regulated, and grown by farmers, but as for individuals... I don't really care. I find the only people who really care if pot is legalized or not are the people that smoke it. :/

As for me, I say legalize it, regulate it, and smoke it if you want to...

I like it it's simple yet really expressive. making pot illegal to save the world from drugs is like making crayons illagal to rid the world of graffiti and vandalism. As long as ignorance is a prevailing force in our country pot will be illegal and thousands of innocent people will continue to die in the war "on"(for?) terrorism.
